Annual Report 2023
Keys Group is pleased to announce the publication of its Annual Report for 2023.
Welcome to Honeybrook House, a service providing person-centred support for individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism. Our intimate setting supports a maximum of ten people, ensuring a personalised approach to care that focuses on individual needs. With a strong emphasis on skill development and maintenance, our nurturing and supportive environment fosters growth and independence.
At Honeybrook House, our commitment is to empower every individual to feel confident and fulfilled in their lives. With a special emphasis on supporting people with Autism, as the majority of those we support fall within this spectrum, we prioritise their unique needs and experiences. Our focus remains steadfast on nurturing self-assurance and facilitating activities that bring them joy and satisfaction, paving the way for lives filled with happiness and purpose.
Central to our mission is the integration of individuals into their communities and, when suitable, transitioning them to supported living arrangements. Our person-centered approach is guided by a profound understanding of Autism, shaping our methodologies and strategies. We offer adaptable and personalised support, ensuring each individual can pursue their goals and aspirations. Collaborating closely with our staff, individuals craft tailored plans that reflect their present desires and future aspirations.
Through transparent communication and teamwork, we actively involve each individual in shaping their journey. Our dedicated staff, equipped with continuous onsite induction and specialised training, are responsive and proactive in nurturing growth within a relaxed and secure setting. By closely collaborating with local professionals and individuals, we tailor our support to address each person’s unique needs, striving to enhance their quality of life to the fullest extent possible.
Honeybrook House offers 10 spacious rooms, each with ensuite bathrooms for privacy and convenience. The people we support can enjoy their own space while making use of communal areas like the lounge, dining room, and sensory room. Meal preparation facilities are available in a person-centred manner, promoting independence and choice. Our outdoor spaces feature a large meadow-like garden with mature trees, providing a quiet and remote environment ideal for relaxation and solitude.
Additionally, we offer smaller sensory gardens and swings for people’s enjoyment and sensory stimulation. Our accommodation is tailored to individual needs, ensuring comfort and empowerment for everyone we support.
Situated on the outskirts of Kidderminster, Honeybrook House enjoys a prime location offering the best of both worlds. Close to the town centre, the people we support have
easy access to urban amenities while also benefiting from the tranquillity of nearby countryside areas.
Transport options are readily available, with two company vehicles on-site for convenient travel. A bus stop is just a short walk away, providing links to Kidderminster main bus
station. Additionally, the train station is located two miles away, offering further transport connections.
The people we support have the opportunity to engage in a variety of community-based activities, including meals out, cinema trips, bowling, shopping (both personal and food),
country walks, swimming, train spotting, and picnics. At Honeybrook House, we ensure that individuals have access to diverse leisure opportunities, promoting social inclusion
and enriching experiences.
Accomplish’s Honeybrook House service is part of the Keys Group, a family of care and support providers, including Accomplish, Keys, and Peak, who share a common goal of
delivering the best outcomes for those who choose our care.
At Honeybrook House we embody the EPIC values of Excellence, Passion, Integrity, and Caring
Our commitment to excellence drives us to achieve the highest standards of learning, development, and performance in all that we do.
Our passion for delivering the best outcomes for those in our care is evident in our ambitious and committed approach to care and support.
Our integrity and transparency in our work is reflected in our honest and transparent communication and sharing of results and learnings.
Our caring approach is centred on showing compassion and empathy, placing those in our care at the centre of all that we do, and always putting the people we support at the heart of
all our actions.
At Honeybrook House, we understand the importance of maintaining meaningful relationships and creating enriching experiences for the people we support. Take Bob, for
example, who moved to Honeybrook from out of county and cherished visits from his dad.
However, as his dad’s health declined, it became challenging for him to visit. To preserve this vital relationship, Bob’s team supported him in visiting his dad instead, helping him develop
coping strategies for the journey and unfamiliar surroundings. This not only maintained their bond but also enabled Bob to experience new milestones, like going to the pub with his
dad for the first time ever. It was a touching moment for both father and son, reflecting the impact of our person-centred approach.
At Honeybrook House, we offer a range of engaging activities to foster social interaction and creativity. Our regular arts and craft sessions, in collaboration with a local group,
provide a wonderful opportunity for the people we support to come together, express themselves artistically, and enjoy each other’s company. With themed sessions and outdoor activities in our expansive gardens, these sessions are not only enjoyable but also contribute to a vibrant and inclusive community. The artwork created during these sessions proudly
adorns our entrance hall, serving as a testament to the creativity and camaraderie within our home
