About Us
Byron Lodge is a 14-bed residential service in Manchester dedicated to supporting individuals with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). Our focus is on creating a positive and empowering environment that facilitates skill relearning while fostering full integration into the community.
Our Approach
At the heart of our support approach is the delivery of exceptional, tailored care, prioritising individual well-being and fulfilment. We create a nurturing environment that acknowledges unique aspirations and needs, fostering independence through personalised plans. Our belief is unwavering: everyone, irrespective of disabilities, deserves a fulfilling life with positive outcomes.
We focus on measurable results, meticulously tracking progress in key areas like independent living skills, emotional well-being, social interactions, relationships, and cognition. Through transparent assessments and monthly reviews involving Key Workers and individuals, we monitor goals, celebrate achievements, and adapt support strategies. Our commitment is clear: delivering tangible progress and personalised care.
Accommodation
We offer accommodation comprising 14 bedrooms, with 12 featuring individual kitchens for added convenience and autonomy. In addition, the people we support have access to a communal kitchen and lounge, providing spaces for both personal use and community interaction.
Location
Situated in Blackley, Manchester, Byron Lodge enjoys proximity to various local amenities and convenient transport links. The people we support have easy access to nearby shops, restaurants, and recreational facilities, providing a range of options for daily needs and leisure activities.
The location benefits from excellent local transport connections, allowing for convenient travel within the area and to Manchester’s city centre. Multiple bus routes pass through the vicinity, offering frequent services for seamless commuting. Additionally, nearby tram stations and main road networks provide further accessibility, ensuring the people we support can easily explore and access the city’s offerings.

Good News
With the support of our team, one of the individuals we support has recently moved to a new home. Her father recently visited and expressed how well she’s doing. It’s a significant step as she’s now caring for her mother, showcasing tremendous progress.
