Crisis Support and Short Stay Service
Lakeside offers a short stay/respite service for those with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health needs and challenging behaviour. Patients may be subject to the requirements of the Mental Health Act or due to risks posed to themselves or others, be subject to Depravation of Liberty Safeguards.
This service is particularly useful for people who have been subject to a crisis residential or supported living placement breakdown. Lakeside can provide a safe place for people to reside short stay, whilst alternative arrangements are being made.
A responsive referral process and rehabilitative support pathway
We pride ourselves at Lakeside on our efficient and transparent referrals process.
With a 24 hour rapid response hotline and a dedicated assessment team, over the last year, on average we have assessed and admitted patients into our care pathway in just 2 days!
We are experienced in managing emergency referrals and admissions, quickly identifying the suitability of an admission and ensuring the transition for the individual is as smooth as possible.
We work to actively support patients to step down to residential services or supported living through a planned and partnership approach. This focus has enabled us to reduce our average length of stay by 5%, a stat which is continually improving.
