Lyndale

About Us

Welcome to Lyndale, a Hereford-based residential service catering to individuals with Mental Health Needs, Learning Disabilities and Autism. The service accommodates up to 10 adults, delivering personalised support tailored to individual needs. At Lyndale, we prioritise the unique strengths, interests, and dreams of each person we support, fostering a compassionate environment that empowers people to thrive.

Our Support and Approach

Lyndale is dedicated to providing exemplary care through the implementation of the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) model, a cornerstone of our commitment to individualised and person-centred care. Our manager, a qualified trainer in this field, actively promotes the PBS model daily, fostering a culture that prioritises positive behaviour reinforcement throughout the entire service. Our dedicated staff team wholeheartedly embraces and integrates this approach into their daily interactions with the people we support, ensuring consistency and a supportive environment. At Lyndale, we recognise the importance of individual needs, and as such, all support plans are tailored to each person, with active input from the individuals themselves. This collaborative approach ensures that the support provided aligns seamlessly with the unique requirements and preferences of each person, promoting a holistic and empowering living experience.

Accommodation

The people we support at Lyndale enjoy a warm and inclusive environment featuring a welcoming dining room for shared meals. The fully equipped kitchen encourages active participation and life skill development. Lyndale boasts 8 spacious bedrooms and two self-contained flats, promoting both community engagement and independent living. Three of the bedrooms offer ensuite wet rooms, ensuring convenience and privacy. The people we support have access to a vibrant courtyard and a large back garden, providing tranquil outdoor spaces for relaxation and socialisation. At Lyndale, our facilities are more than just spaces; they are catalysts for growth, connection, independence and accomplishment in a supportive and enriching community.

Location and Transport Available

Nestled in Hereford, Lyndale offers convenience with a 5-minute stroll to the train station and bus station. The service is ideally situated, providing easy access to an array of amenities, including a cinema, bowling alley, doctors, dentist, supermarkets, and a college—all within a 10-minute walk. There is an abundance of community engagement at the local hub, catering to all the people we support with activities like gardening and cookery. At Lyndale, accessibility and plenty of local amenities mean a well-rounded and fulfilling lifestyle.

Ethos and Values

Accomplish’s Lyndale service is part of the Keys Group, a family of care and support providers, including Accomplish, Keys, and Peak, who share a common goal of delivering the best outcomes for those who choose our care. We have recently launched a new set of values that embody our beliefs and principles.

At Lyndale we embody the EPIC values of Excellence, Passion, Integrity, and Caring.

Our commitment to excellence drives us to achieve the highest standards of learning, development, and performance in all that we do.

Our passion for delivering the best outcomes for those in our care is evident in our ambitious and committed approach to care and support.

Our integrity and transparency in our work is reflected in our honest and transparent communication and sharing of results and learnings.

Our caring approach is centred on showing compassion and empathy, placing those in our care at the centre of all that we do, and always putting the people we support at the heart of all our actions.

Good News

At Lyndale, we celebrate remarkable achievements that showcase the transformative impact of our dedicated support. One individual, after 12 years of grappling with crippling anxiety, recently accomplished a significant feat – walking to town. Through commitment and employing various therapies, primarily positive behaviour support, our team tailored the approach to suit his unique responses. Today, he is not only walking to town but also booking holidays, something he once thought impossible.

Another person supported faced significant challenges, including alcohol issues, over 50 epileptic seizures monthly, and obsessive behaviours. Through consistent care and the application of positive behaviour support, he has overcome alcohol issues and, after collaboration with epilepsy specialists, now experiences only 10-15 seizures monthly. This positive transformation has greatly enhanced his overall quality of life, alleviating obsessive behaviours.

In 2023, Lyndale proudly received the Hereford Times Health Care Team Award, a testament to the team’s extraordinary dedication to the people we support. Our committed staff goes above and beyond, promoting independence and meeting diverse needs.
