About Us
Welcome to Maple Leaf Lodge, a residential care home in Birmingham committed to providing support for individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health Needs, and Acquired Brain Injuries. The service caters to up to 11 male adults, offering personalised care pathways that prioritise independence and
enhance the quality of life for the people supported. Our trained staff specialises in compassionate and professional care, addressing the unique challenges associated with diverse conditions.
Our Approach
At Maple Leaf Lodge, our approach to support is driven by a steadfast commitment to tailoring care to individual needs. It involves crafting personalised supportive pathways, centred on the strengths, interests, and dreams of each individual under our care.
Emphasising independence and control, we actively engage disciplinary teams to create multi-focused care packages. We encourage the people we support to acquire new skills and set personal goals, fostering an environment within the home that enhances their quality of life and helps them reach their full potential. Regular monitoring ensures that care packages evolve to incorporate any changes necessary for improved health and enjoyment. At Maple Leaf Lodge, our main goal is to empower individuals to thrive and lead
fulfilling lives.
Accommodation
Maple Leaf Lodge offers two refurbished communal spaces downstairs—an open-plan kitchen and sitting room. The service features a lift to the first floor for convenience. With two ground-floor bedrooms and eight upstairs, each with ensuite bathrooms, the people we support enjoy comfort and privacy.
There is also an external flat that houses one person at the service. The property includes spacious front and back garden areas, providing serene outdoor spaces. At Maple Leaf Lodge, we prioritise modern and accessible living environments, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone supported at the service.
Location
Nestled in a serene rural setting 1.8 miles from Birmingham suburb Hollywood, Maple Leaf Lodge offers tranquillity while maintaining accessibility. Despite the absence of footpaths or public transport directly around, Wythall train station, just 2.4 miles away, provides convenient connectivity. For added convenience, a dedicated car at the service ensures the people we support can explore local areas. Supermarkets and doctors are within a 2-mile radius, with Birmingham City Centre approximately 6 miles away. Moreover, Wythall’s train connection makes Birmingham City Centre easily accessible, offering a direct route for those seeking urban experiences, approximately 30 minutes away. At Maple Leaf Lodge, the people supported enjoy a perfect blend of rural serenity and access to vital amenities and city life.
