The National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards 2022 Finalists Announced
We are proud to announce we have three finalists at the National Learning Disabilities and Autism...
The work of teams supporting people with a learning disability, mental health difficulties, autism and acquired brain injury has been shortlisted for a prestigious award in the North West.
The teams including two from Accomplish Group’s Merseyside Supported Living service, have been shortlisted as finalists in Housing with Care Award category at the upcoming the Great British Care Awards regional finals. Debbie Collings, a manager from the service, has also been named as a finalist in the Home Care Frontline Leaders Award.
Supported living services, such as those provided by Accomplish Group around the North West and across England and Wales, support people with autism, mental health needs, learning disabilities and acquired brain injuries to live as independently as possible.
The teams and Debbie will find out if they have won at a special ceremony due to be held at the Midland Hotel in Manchester in April next year. If they are successful, they go forward to the national finals.
Lynn Lavelle of Accomplish Group said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the two teams and for Debbie and we couldn’t be more pleased for them all to have been shortlisted as finalists in these prestigious awards.
“They work extremely hard to give the best possible support everyone who uses our services, supporting people to have the very best life they can, doing the things they enjoy and to do so while living in their own home.
“These are things which can so often be taken for granted, but which are not always so easy to achieve when a person experiences challenges or difficulties. Our teams always go above and beyond to support people to live as independently as possible and I’m incredibly proud of them all.”
