Oakhill has been rated Outstanding by Headway, the Brain Injury Association. Assessors from Headway visited Oakhill as part of a reaccreditation assessment. They reviewed the service in the six key areas considered by the Headway Approved Provider Scheme including culture, service delivery and quality.
The service provides specialist residential care and support and responsive rehabilitation for up to seven people who have sustained a brain injury. Following the assessors’ visit the service was graded as “outstanding” and a report published praised the “exceptional motivation” of the team at Oakhill and their ”enthusiasm and dedication”.
The assessors noted: “It was clear that they strive to provide the best quality of life experience that they can for the people using the service. They are exceptionally motivated to provide a good level of care and support, taking into account the differing needs of service users. The staff appeared kind, caring, encouraging and supportive in their approach.”
Justine Cahill, Divisional Managing Director at Accomplish Group, said: “I am delighted that the hard work and dedication of the team at Oakhill has been recognised in this way.
“The Headway Approved Provider Scheme is very important as it considers in real detail what is important when providing care and support for people with acquired brain injury and how providers meet the needs of those in their care.
“This outstanding judgement shows just what an excellent service Oakhill is and the exceptionally high standard of care the team provide.”
