Westholme

About Us

Welcome to Westholme—a Birmingham-based residential service supporting individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Acquired Brain Injuries, and Mental Health Needs. In our tranquil environment, individuals find the support to develop confidence and embrace their unique identity. We provide specialised services, empowering people to enhance independence within a caring community. Our dedicated team collaborates to turn aspirations into reality, offering access to training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. At Westholme, community engagement and skill development flourish in a friendly atmosphere. We celebrate personal growth in a sanctuary where identity is honoured.

Our Support

At Westholme diversity is our strength. We embrace people of various religions, faiths, and cultures, providing support for those with mixed diagnoses of mental health, ABI, autism, and learning disabilities. Utilising different support plans, including the Recovery Star, ABI, and Autism support plans, we take a person-centred approach, involving the people we support in their care decisions. Our strong collaboration with the mental health team, FIRST, ensures robust support for those with mental health issues.

All staff are comprehensively trained, maintaining a high standard of care. With an open-door culture, the people we support and staff can approach the manager for support anytime. At Westholme, compatibility prevails, fostering positive relationships among individuals, regardless of diagnoses or age differences. With 7 staff per shift and 2 wake nights, our excellent staffing levels guarantee continuous support for everyone at Westholme.

Accommodation

Westholme spans three stories within a beautiful Victorian building. The service comprises 13 bedrooms, including 7 ensuites. The layout offers two kitchens, a dining room, lounge areas, a quiet room, a medication room, and a cellar. To ensure accessibility, there is a lift for those who find stairs challenging. The expansive garden includes a summerhouse with a convertible pool table, making it perfect for meetings, parties, and gatherings.

Location and Transport

Nestled between the vibrant Moseley Village and Kings Heath High Street, Westholme offers easy access to local attractions. An excellent bus route connects the service to Birmingham City Centre, and Yardley Wood train station is just 2 miles away. The people we support can explore cinema, bowling, swimming, and gym facilities nearby, with the town centre a mile away and the city centre just a couple of miles away. Essential services like doctors, dentists, and opticians are conveniently close, while a variety of restaurants, pubs, cafes, and coffee shops cater to diverse preferences, ensuring an enriching and accessible lifestyle for everyone at Westholme.

Ethos and Values

Accomplish’s Westholme service is part of the Keys Group, a family of care and support providers, including Accomplish, Keys, and Peak, who share a common goal of delivering the best outcomes for those who choose our care. We have recently launched a new set of values that embody our beliefs and principles.
